 Professional Bios

This page contains the several professional bios. Please scroll down to read them all.

Bio - Owner of a Web Development and Communications Company

Stan Krome is passionate. About developing websites for his clients. About backpacking in the Andes. About stargazing through the telescope on his deck. The same dynamic energy fuels everything he does.

Before he founded First Crescent Designs he skippered chartered boats, sold millions of dollars of real estate and was production director for a radio station. And he developed leadership and marketing skills. In his spare time he played electric guitar in a class rock band - and still does.

He saw the creative connection between the music world and digital art while teaching computer classes at the University of California at Santa Barbara Extension Program. So he immersed himself in the developing world of web design. He stayed at the forefront of Internet technology, investigating and trying out new ideas.

Now, as owner of First Crescent Designs, he combines his creative talent and marketing skills with advanced web technology to provide effective communication for his clients.

If he ever decides to slow down, he and his wife may retire to the home they own in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. But one thing won't change - he's sure to serve his friends the same aromatic drip coffee that his clients enjoy when they drop into his office in Santa Barbara.

Bio - Skin Care Specialist

The "aha" that sparked Lynn's interest in a career in skin care came when she saw a television program describing how corrective makeup and skin care helped change the quality of life of burn victims. Shortly afterwards she became a Licensed Esthetician and fulfilled her desire to help people feel better about themselves.

However Lynn is much more than an esthetician. Since 1997 she has been a dermatology Medical Assistant, working hand in hand with dermatologists and nurse practitioners. With this knowledge and training, she can analyze your skin and pick up on issues that are simply not part of a standard aesthetician training. She continues to work in the dermatology field one day a week so that she can bring the latest advances and research in skin care to her clients.

Lynn has been a make up artist since 1993 and a practicing aesthetician since 2004, serving the communities of Valencia, Canyon Country, Newhall, Castaic, Stevenson's Ranch, Saugus and the Santa Clarita Valley. Her focus is on getting results for her clients. She earned her California State Esthetician Licence through Newberry's School of Esthetics. She completed a makeup program for film and TV at the Learning Tree University and is a graduate of the MKC School of Makeup Artistry's Master's program.

BIO - Personal Business Manager

[name]  is more than an accountant. She's a Personal Business Manager and financial confidante, who specializes in taking all the tedious financial chores off the shoulders of busy professionals and business owners, so that they can focus on the areas where they excel.

Her professional experience spans more than 10 years in industries as diverse as hospitality, entertainment, manufacturing and the waste industry. Together with her international background and an understanding of foreign trade, she brings rich sources of information to her client's businesses. She and her team provide a full range of accounting, bookkeeping and income tax services.

She's committed to her client's success. Whether she's establishing cost-cutting computer systems for them, negotiatiing with their banks or vendors, or analyzing their cash flow, she ensures that all financial decisions lead to greater profits.

[name] grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. She graduated from the University of Cape Town with a double major in Accounting and Information Systems. By learning accountancy using pencil and paper rather than computers, she knows the intricacies of the information flow through the accounting system. This makes it easy for her to solve problems quickly.

During a one-year break spent backbacking around the world in search of her dream, [name] fell in love with the City o Angels, and decided to make her home here.

[name] is a member of the California Society of CPA's and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She served on various committees for teh Jewish Federation of Los Angeles and is a mentor for the Jewish Vocational Services Program.

Bio  -  Medical Claims Insurance Specialist

[name]  is a woman of action. If you're having problems with your medical insurance or you're simply overwhelmed, frustrated or just don't have the time to deal with all the paperwork necessary to process your claim, you'll want her on your side. She knows from experience what you're going through.

Her company, [name] puts her personal experience to work to help people process their insurance claims. "I know what it's like being sick," says Dawn,  "and dealing with all these bills becomes very difficult when you're emotionally involved in the illness."

While battling sinus cancer, Dawn learned first-hand that she couldn't count on her insurance company to pay costly claims, even if they were covered by her policy. She realized that no matter how sick, frustrated or angry she was, there was no one who could help her sort out her bills.

In the midst of her medical struggle, she became her own advocate. She quickly learned how confusing and complicated the insurance industry is, how easy it is to get lost in the bureaucratic maze, and how quickly claims are denied simply because of misinformation and misunderstandings. But in spite of her illness, her persistent spirit carried her through and she succeeded in getting what was due to her.

It's not only individual patients who have difficulties with medical insurance companies: doctor's offices are swamped by the sheer volume and complexity of the paperwork. So Dawn expanded her business to work with doctors' offices on processing their medical insurance claims.

When the system breaks down and communication between the medical provider and insurance company is just not working, the patient usually suffers.  Dawn can help. "When information gets scrambled," says Dawn, "no-one will tell you what the problem is. Companies think they can get away with things by denying your claims."  With Dawn on your side, this won't happen.

Dawn's extensive personal experience is backed up by a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communication, an Associate Science Degree in Health Information Technology, and specialty certificates in Medical Coding and Reimbursement from Santa Barbara City College. She is a member of Claims Assistance Professionals. Dawn lives in Santa Barbara with her husband Terry and their Pug dog, Sam
